Choral Residency 2026 in Lincoln

Preparatory rehearsals
The joint rehearsals are very important. The following dates have been set on Sundays from 13.30-16.30: 22.02./15.03./26.04./31.05./21.06.

The rehearsels take place at the Music hall, Klosterhof 6b (Stiftsbezirk), 9000 St.Gallen. Alternative locations for choir rehearsals are being considered.

Choral Evensongs Mon-Sat from 17.30 to 18.30, Wednesday no Evensong

Travel
Participants of the Choral residency 2026 in Lincoln are responsible for organising their own travel to and from Lincoln and for organising their own accommodation. A bus transfer from London City Airport to Lincoln will be organised.

UK Entry requirements
Visitors from European countries will require an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) to enter the UK. The easiest way to apply is with the ‘UK ETA App’, which can be downloaded from the Google Play or Apple App Store. People without a smartphone can apply for their ETA at GOV.UK. Warning: there are already scam sites offering invalid certificates at horrendous prices. An official ETA costs a maximum of £16. A valid passport (not an ID) must be registered and presented on entry.

Accommodation
The organisation of accommodation is the responsibility of each participant. Accommodation can be booked at:

If more rooms are available when booking larger accommodation, we will be happy to help you find interested people.

Cancellation
If the registered person cancels the trip up to 6 weeks before the start of the trip, the deposit will be refunded. Thereafter, the deposit cannot be refunded.

Special events
Welcome apéro Sun, 26 July 2026 at 6.00 pm
Closing dinner, Sun, 2 August 2026 at 6.00 pm
Further events such as a guided tour of the cathedral or participation in the bell ringing rehearsals will be organised.

Costs
CHF 530 to 680 per person, depending on the number of participants.
This includes course information, daily programme, choir rehearsals, sheet music, welcome apéro and a closing dinner. Bus transfer will be charged additionally. Individual travelling expenses, accommodation and meals are not included. Travelling and accident insurance are the responsibility of the participants. After registration, a deposit of CHF 380 must be paid in favour of Verein DomMusik, CH-9000 St.Gallen
